We run an annual conference for ESOL practitioners and anyone interested in participatory teaching. The conference typically focuses on a particular theme and takes place over 3-4 days, featuring workshops and sessions on pedagogy, teaching techniques and exercises, sociolinguistics, and more. This year, the conference will be held in late Spring, and we will be hosting the event online.
Read our blog on the 2020 conference.
Community of Practice
In tandem, we co-facilitate a Community of Practice group that meets monthly to discuss the practice of teaching, or pedagogy. Each session generally revolves around a specific topic, and past meet-ups have covered elements such as LGBTQ+ inclusion in the ESOL classroom, Theatre of the Oppressed methods of ESOL teaching, and more. There is no cost to join the sessions, and all practitioners are welcome.
Do follow us on social media and sign up to our newsletter to ensure you hear any announcements about specific dates and sign-ups for the next conference, as well as for the monthly themes and dates of our free Community of Practice sessions.
