Patients not Passports emerged following discussions in EFA’s ESOL classes about access to healthcare for migrants during the pandemic.
The group falls under the wider Patients not Passports campaign, which aims to inform people about their rights in accessing healthcare, and calls for an end to hostile environment policies in the NHS including charging, and the Immigration Health Surcharge.
The group looks at these issues and how they impact ESOL students and members of the local community, and supports the work done by the broader campaign with the help of Migrants Organise and Medact.
