Resources for teachers on working with volunteers

For the past two years EFA has been involved in a research project with language teaching organisations from Denmark, Belgium, Germany and Austria.

We’ve been asking ‘how can volunteers best help with refugee language learning?’ How can volunteers best help in the classroom, alongside paid teachers, outside formal education and even in settings where no professional language teaching is available and voluntary provision is the best available thing…

We’ve done research and we’ve produced a toolkit with a host of learnings, good practice and lots and lots of practical, classroom activities that teachers can use when they’re working with volunteers in the classroom.
