Our classes are for members of the community groups that host the class or members or our community partners (campaigning groups, migrant support groups, Trade Unions, faith organisations, schools, children’s centres, community centres etc).
If you are an individual wishing to learn English please contact your local further education college or local authority (type ESOL plus your local area e.g, ‘ESOL Tower Hamlets’ into Google).
We are really sorry but we can’t respond to individual requests to join classes.
Alternatively, if you want private tuition please consider our partner project. All profits go to EFA London.
If you like what we do and want to help us, why not raise funds for us?
You could organise a music night at a bar, run a 10k, have a garage sale or hold a pub quiz (all things people have done in the past).
Why not discuss with Phoebe, our fundraising manager, who would be delighted to support you. You can contact her on firstname.lastname@example.org
If you want to take part as a volunteer, please get in touch on email@example.com
Please note that we have a very limited number of volunteering opportunities in our classes at the moment.
Become a Trustee
Our trustees are responsible for ensuring that we do our work to the best of our ability for the benefit of those we are trying to support.
We really want our trustee board to reflect the diversity of our students and therefore particularly welcome applications from people who have migrated to the UK, BME candidates and/or people who have learned English as an additional language.
Our trustees are responsible for the overall strategy of the organisation, publishing our annual report and ensuring the organisation is being managed effectively. We often need expertise in the following areas:
learning English, teaching English, communications, HR, fundraising, finance, charity/employment law, campaigning and/or community organising.
If you might be interested in becoming a trustee send us an email and we will tell you the next time there is a vacancy.
