We are two sessions in to our new research project, The Power of Discussion. The theme of immigration and specifically “illegal” or “undocumented” migrants emerged in the first session and we exploredit in greater depth on session two. We have launched a blog thepowerofdiscussion.wordpress.com and a Twitter Account “Discussion Power”. Please follow us, tweet us and comment on our blog posts! Today has been an active day with students blogging their responses to yesterday’s lesson. Students examined the causes and consequences of “illegal immigration” or rather having a large number of “illegal” migrants. We challenged the term illegal and some people preferred “undocumented”.
