Join us for this upcoming, ESOL student-led forum theatre performance that’ll be taking place this Saturday, 29 January, from 11 am to noon at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Secondary Girls’ School (Southwark) in London.
The event will focus on some of the challenges to accessing healthcare faced by migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK who have lower levels of English, and it will be interactive — the audience will play an integral role in determining the direction of the show. It is totally free to attend, and we hope to see you there.
This interactive experience forms part of the Migreat! project, which is an Erasmus+-funded, trans-national collaboration between four migrants-focused charities: English for Action London (UK); Giolli Cooperativa Sociale (Italy); Open Circle / Nyitott Kör (Hungary); and Élan Interculturel (France). Migreat! seeks to explore tools and methods for changing public narratives around migration across Europe, and Forum Theatre has been one we have been looking forward to utilising with our classes.
For more information on the event or the Migreat! project, please feel free to contact EFA’s project manager Kasia Blackman at kasia@efalondon.org. If you’re unable to join us but would be able to help us spread the word, we would also greatly appreciate a retweet!
